la Casa
La Casa Newington is the newest chapter in our Edinburgh story.
Set on Newington Road, it brings the La Casa way of eating to the Southside: relaxed, warm and built around sharing. It is a place for lunch, dinner, drinks, family meals, catch-ups with friends and tables that slowly fill with small plates.
The idea is simple. Choose a few dishes, add more if you like, and enjoy the meal at your own pace.

What’s on the Table
Our menu moves between Spain and Greece, with tapas, mezze and familiar Mediterranean flavours. Start with warm pitta, olives, houmous, tzatziki or melitzanosalata. Then add dishes such as tortilla, croquettes, patatas bravas, halloumi, calamari, chorizo, spanakopita, saganaki, gambas pil pil or lamb chops. There are vegetarian, vegan and non-gluten-containing options, along with lunch, dessert, kids and drinks menus.

La Casa is built around the Mediterranean way of eating: a few plates in the middle, different flavours to try, and no need to rush.
Some dishes arrive hot from the kitchen, some are served cold, and everything is brought to the table as it is ready. That is part of the rhythm of tapas and mezze.
For most tables, we suggest around three to four small plates per person, depending on appetite.
